Busch Enterprises was founded in 1979 by Ted Busch in Simsbury, Connecticut. Before starting the company, Ted operated a successful advertising agency, working with automotive brands such as Moroso Performance, Accel Ignition, and Centerline Racing Wheels.
Recognizing a need for higher-quality wheel cleaning products, Ted shifted his focus to product development and created Aluminum Wash—a formula that quickly proved its effectiveness and remains unchanged to this day. Additional products followed, including Heavy Duty Aluminum Wash, Chrome Wash, and Tar Wash, building a reputation for performance and reliability.
In 1985, the company relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina to be closer to the growing racing industry. During this time, Busch introduced a line of colored waxes and later developed a popular waterless wax used by racing enthusiasts. In 1995, the business moved to Statesville, North Carolina for logistical advantages and continued to expand its offerings.
A new solvent-based aluminum polish was introduced, delivering superior results by hand and leading to the development of a complete buffing system, including pads and polishing compounds.
With over 40 years of experience, Busch Enterprises continues to produce trusted, high-performance products built on proven formulas and real-world results.
